The sound of modern Nashville. A real band for real honky tonkers.
Inspired by some cracking nights in Nashville honky tonks, Aussie Nick and British Country Music Award winning singer Mark Hills, the deep voice of the south, started this modern country rock to bring to the UK good old stomping bar room rock southern USA style. Right down to the ‘Haller and Swaller’, baseball caps, snakeskin boots and the famous Nashville ‘Tip Bucket', Wrecking Ball are a southern USA experience that are filling the void for a growing younger audience hungry for Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jake Owen and other mainline USA acts.
There is nothing else like Wrecking Ball here in the UK.........a real band for real honky tonkers.

Singer / Songwriter
Mark is known as the UK's country music outlaw, and has one of the best voices in British country music today with his deep voice and that country twang. Mark has 13 years experience of touring the Country music clubs & festivals in the UK, Europe and Nashville. In the short space of 3 years he was nominated for 7 British Country Music Awards and winner of 2 BCM Awards. For 10 years Mark was one half of the multi award winning duo 'Spur', and has also played as one part of the duo 'Renegade' and front man for the 'The Family' band. Mark is now fronting the all-new southern country rock band “Wrecking Ball” that is fast becoming the most sought after country-rock band in the UK.
Songwriter / Band leader
Aussie Nick hails from Melbourne Australia where he grew up as a guitar player in the typical Aussie rough and tumble pub scene that has produced legendary Oz acts like AC/DC, Cold Chisel, The Angels and Keith Urban. He has travelled far and wide playing across Australia's southern states in a variety of acts most notably with his highly successful 70s glam band Lionel Loves Vinyl. He has also done his stint in the pit in musical theatre, donned his cap on TV on the Bert Newton show with blues rockers Barrelhouse and played his fair share of festivals and corporate gigs. In recent years he has hauled his array of Nash, Fender, Gibson, Maton and Gretsch guitars across the globe playing in Singapore, Thailand, Paris, Nashville, Memphis and now the UK. Nick has a strong pedigree in music following in the footsteps of Uncle and Liverpool Cavern legend Tony Morris and Virgin recording artist and cousin Hannah Morris. Aussie Nick now blends his love of rock and country together in Wrecking Ball, the band he started with Mark Hills. Passionate about the sound they create, he spends his time mainly on arranging, writing, producing, sound and of course chasing that ever elusive killer guitar tone.
Tim has been making music since he was a kid. Drumming has always been his first instrument but over the years he has turned his hands to guitar, double bass and mandolin. As a drummer, Tim is equally at home on stage, in the pit, or in the studio. Tim’s work has varied from West End shows to corporate gigs, and international tours to a residency at Filthy McNastys. Tim spent over four years touring the world with STOMP, played kit across Europe with theatre shows and bands, and toured the UK with numerous function bands, including “Blender" and "The Invited." Proud moments include performing at The 100 Club, on Top of the Pops and playing The Royal Albert Hall.
Chris has many years of experience as a bass guitarist in both covers and originals bands, he also plays rhythm guitar and provides vocal harmonies; he has recorded and gigged extensively since the early eighties and has previously taught bass. His bass influences include John Entwistle, Timothy B Schmidt, Glenn Hughes and John Deacon. When not holding the low end for Wrecking Ball he can be found looking forward to holding the low end down for Wrecking Ball!. Chris uses Fender, Music Man and Warwick Basses and Ashdown amplification.
